Intended Learning Outcome
By the end of this course, participants should be able to improve their skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) to interact in new situations while using new grammatical and communicative structures (near future, prepositions, pronouns) and those previously learnt (present simple, present continuous, prepositions, pronouns, etc) to describe people and places, to talk about future plans, movement and transport, and to write context-driven short texts.
Methodology
Participant/content-centred learning approach. Communicative language activities: reception, interaction, production.
Specific learning outcomes (adapted from CEFR (2020)):
- Requesting information (directions, location, transports, shopping).
- Reading and interpreting simple and brief information and announcements in public spaces (airports, train stations, shopping centres)
- Talking about future plans, hobbies and travel
- Locating objects, people and places in space.
- Describing individuals, objects, situations and places
