UAlg renews Erasmus Charter for 2021-2027
The application was submitted by UAlg in May last year to the European Commission for renewal of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) under the new Erasmus+ Programme for 2021-2027, launched recently.
The renewal of the Erasmus Charter reflects the fundamental principles to be respected within the Erasmus+ Programme and reinforces the consolidation of the internationalisation of UAlg, with medium and long-term impact. It is important to highlight some of the actions developed so far, such as the increase and diversification of international mobility (students, teachers, researchers and staff) and the "internationalization at home"; the contribution to curriculum development and reform, providing greater flexibility and internationalization of the training pathway and enhancing the acquisition of future skills; the institutionalization of a transparent, fair and agile academic recognition framework, fully in line with European standards; the promotion of short advanced courses, the major focus on joint degrees; the promotion of partnerships and strategic alliances; among others.
At the same time, UAlg is committed to the objectives outlined in the Erasmus Policy Statement, a public document which can be consulted here.
